Position Title: Analyst Import /Export Ocean MX
Reports to: Supervisor Import & Exports
Dept / Function: Delivery Services
Summary:
The main function of this position is to facilitate timely execution of End to End ocean transportation arrangements in the Export Order to Cash cycle. This requires a close collaborative partnership with Order Management Associates (OMA) and Global Trade whom receive & process sales orders and are the face to Hershey's foreign distributors
Responsibilities:
Submit ocean bookings, adhere to work process guidelines and monitor & communicate milestones back to HBP and Global Trade. Additionally, this role will be responsible for establishing protocols to escalate exceptions, risks and service failures.
· Submit booking requests to ocean carriers, adhering to customer's desired delivery dates o Maintain Sharepoint / Export Platforms and Files with Order Tracking information.
· Monitor bookings and escalate to Ocean Export manager if bookings are not received within agreed time/KPI o Manage booking milestones per the dock receipt key dates.
· Manage the order to ensure readiness before delivery note dropping; this includes, but is not limited to ensuring product availability, credit hold resolution, correct incoterms.
· Drop delivery note seven days prior to transportation planning date (drayage planning)
· Provide the CCP layout to the carriers per booking. o Issue the insurance certificate per container.
· Manage Import operations
· Maintain SOPS to document practices and ownership of key activities to ensure a streamlined process in execution of international order fulfillment.
· Establish operational metrics that are relevant to the business and monitor service failure performance measurement.
· Responsible for coordinating and managing the shipment of samples globally
Education: BS/BA in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Economics, Business or equivalent experience required
Experience: +3 years directly working in Transportation, International Logistics, Customer Service within an International Company. ERP Knowledge, SAP ECC / S/4 desirable. Microsoft Office Proficient (Excel, Power Point, Power BI)
