We are seeking experienced Biovia Support Engineers to join our team in Guadalajara. The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and stability of Biovia One Lab and other lab-based applications, while providing high-level support and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Description

• Ensure optimum performance and stability of Biovia One Lab and other lab-based applications
• Provide 2nd/3rd line support for technical queries, bug fixes, and small enhancements related to applications and platforms
• Comply with ITIL standards and change control procedures in all support activities
• Take ownership of issues from delivery through resolution or escalation, as appropriate
• Develop and maintain specialist knowledge in relevant systems
• Work on application upgrades, including major versions and hot fixes
• Perform parser migrations as required
• Troubleshoot pipeline integrations to ensure smooth data flow
• Execute manual backup/restoration and disaster recovery procedures
• Liaise with multiple stakeholders including users, infrastructure/middleware teams, and 3rd party software vendors
• Collaborate on issue resolution and potential process improvements
• Provide end-to-end support for applications, ensuring user satisfaction
• Document and share specialist knowledge with global teams as required
• Train, guide, and mentor new hires in the team
• Contribute to the development of best practices and standard operating procedures

Profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a pharmaceutical or laboratory environment
• Strong knowledge of laboratories applications
• Proficiency in ITIL standards and change control procedures
• Experience with application upgrades, bug fixes, and enhancements
• Familiarity with parser migrations and pipeline integrations
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience in backup, restoration, and disaster recovery procedures
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Spanish
• Ability to work in a global, cross-functional team environment
• Knowledge of DevOps principles and Agile methodologies

$50,000 - $60,000 Gross Salary + benefits above the law
