Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading and developing the AME team, including directing, coordinating, and exercising authority for planning, organization, leadership, and completion of projects.
- Devise strategies to ensure growth of programs enterprise-wide, identifying and implementing process improvements that will maximize output and minimize costs.
- Coordinate activities to achieve timely resolution to manufacturing problems and new process launches.
- Follow up on permanent corrective action plans to resolve any outstanding issues related to quality, production, equipment, tooling, customers, and production controls.
- Research and review industry trends and emerging technology advancements by attending trade shows, reading various trade publications, and working with vendors.
- Build and maintain relationships with all department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals.
- Plan and direct engineering activities for new equipment, mechatronic solutions, and business solutions to improve manufacturing methods for maximum efficiency and quality.
- Responsible for resolving engineering issues, escalated issues, and supporting coordination with other departments.
- Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for the department.
- Monitor progress against project schedules and budgets; recommend allocation of resources as required to accomplish goals.
- Responsible for reviewing machine capacity models and providing recommendations/solutions for capacity shortfalls.
- Monthly reporting of departmental KPI metrics.
- Lead and participate in Kaizen events to improve ABL processes.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Engineering and/or Engineering Technology or equivalent field.
- 10+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
- 10+ years management experience prefered, with technical leadership skills for problem solving and conflict resolution.
