Job Description
The role provides a mixture of production platform Operations ownership as well as engineering. You will solve challenging technical problems, identify improvements, and work on implementing your recommendations. You will also work directly with high-level developers on projects and work to blur the lines between traditional system operations and development support.
As a Service Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for defining and deploying key Services with a deep focus on architecture, production operations, capacity planning, performance management and deployment. You will work with multiple multi-functional teams helping deliver new and outstanding experiences to our partners while ensuring reliability and performance.

What You'll Do

Deploy and support Cloud services in new regions.
Alert and diagnostic monitoring including Security alerts related to remediation.
Work closely with Product Development teams and provide feedback to improve product quality
Develop administration automation and supervise scripts as needed
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures/Documentation
Provide customer concern support for database and Cloud Infrastructure related issues
Attend weekly team meetings and participate in team-building activities
Other duties, as assigned

- BE/BTECH/MS/MSc/MCA/MTech in Computer Science or equivalent qualification from a reputed Institute with 5+ years of experience in handling Enterprise applications / Cloud.
- Experience in leading infrastructure/applications built on any two of the following technology groups.
- Oracle Database Technology including RAC, Dataguard, Exadata and ASM/RMAN etc.
- Need to continuously support application teams with performance tuning and automate any reports required from DB
- Technologies for scripted and orchestrated automation and Some understanding of Security fundamentals.
- Development using Python, SQL/PlSql, Java/JavaScript, or Oracle APEX

- Experience in managing infrastructure/applications built on any two of the following technology groups.
- Oracle Database Technology including RAC, Dataguard, Exadata ASM/RMAN, etc. Need to continuously support application teams with performance tuning and automate any reports required from DB
- Technologies for scripted and orchestrated automation and Some understanding of Security fundamentals.
- Development using Python, SQL/PlSql, Java/JavaScript or Oracle APEX
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Able to accurately estimate efforts and deliver on time
- Experience with agile processes and a general understanding of product development
- Understanding and experience with CI/CD practices
- Familiarity with security practices in application delivery
- Deep understanding of virtualization solutions and Cloud services
- Solid understanding of Linux-based OS internals
- Python and Bash development expertise desirable
- Experience in SDK, API, and Java/Javascript is desirable
- Experience with configuration management tools
- Knowledge of Internet protocols
- Experience in fixing network services
- Demonstrated capability in designing, implementing, or supporting high-performance and large-scale systems
