Job Description:
A Customer Service Representative (CSR) provides high-level office support and specialized assistance to the Sales Department. CSRs work directly with sales agents to meet clients' changing insurance needs by selling and servicing various types of insurance policies, including auto, home, commercial, life, health, and disability insurance. They guide customers in selecting the right coverage, explain policies in detail, and maintain accurate insurance records. This role is ideal for those looking to grow their insurance sales career or enter the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Provide introductory information to new and existing clients
- Determine the most effective way to answer client inquiries
- Work directly with sales agents to find appropriate solutions
- Prospect, generate new business, retain existing clients, cross-sell products, and provide customer service
- Make 40 outbound calls, 20 texts, and 20 emails per day
- Follow agency processes to help achieve long-term success
- Quote and explain coverage options tailored to client goals
- Complete applications and obtain underwriting approval
- Deliver policies and plan follow-up visits to assess future needs
- Handle service requests, perform policy reviews, and make courtesy follow-up calls
- Recommend new insurance contracts or changes to existing ones
- Evaluate client needs and propose suitable protection plans
- Monitor insurance claims to ensure client satisfaction
- Stay updated on new products and services
- Ensure policy requirements are fulfilled
- Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service
- Educate customers on insurance options using a needs-based review process
- Assist in training and onboarding new team members
Requirements:
- Fluent in Spanish (required)
- 2–3 years of relevant office experience
- Ability to manage a high volume of calls, emails, and texts daily
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Organized and capable of managing priorities independently
- Strong time management and attention to detail
- Comfortable using technology and digital tools
- Ethical, responsible, and reliable team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High School diploma or GED required
- Willingness to train and support new team members
- Adaptable in a fast-paced, growing environment
