Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Logistics Engineer to join our team at our Monterey, Mexico location. As a Logistics Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our logistics operations, ensuring efficient supply chain management, and improving warehouse and material flow processes.
Responsibilities:
Analyze existing logistics processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement logistics strategies and initiatives that align with business objectives.
Conduct data analysis, generate reports, and provide actionable insights to optimize material flow, inventory management, and distribution processes.
Perform capacity planning, transportation analysis, and network optimization to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure logistics performance and monitor progress against targets.
Implement and manage the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) methodology to improve inventory accuracy, reduce stockouts, and minimize lead times.
Utilize advanced software tools and systems to track, monitor, and manage logistics operations, ensuring accurate and timely information flow.
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to establish and maintain effective partnerships, negotiate contracts, and manage transportation services.
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and health and safety standards.
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. (Preferred but not required at this time)
Proven experience working in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, with a focus on warehouse operations, material flow, and transportation.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and propose actionable solutions.
Proficiency in logistics software, data analysis tools, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of Plan for Every Part (PFEP) methodology and its implementation is highly desirable.
Familiarity with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and health and safety standards.
Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
