OVERVIEW

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Environmental engineering, chemist-biologist, or related career.
- 3 to 5 years of experience working in EHS.
- Bilingual English Spanish
- Experience implementing/managing ISO 45001
- Management of HSE administration and monitoring software
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Excellent attitude, teamwork, and excellent communication at all levels of the company.
- Knowledge of environmental and safety and hygiene legislation.
- Experience in handling procedures before government agencies (JMAS, PROFEPA, SEMARNAT, SDUE, CIVIL PROTECTION, SEGOB, etc.)
- MS Office
- Google tools (Site, drive, forms, etc.)
- Leadership and proactivity
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures compliance with all plant health, environmental, and safety programs.
- Ensures that the internal management and activities of the company's different waste management processes (RP, RME, RPBI, Water Discharge, etc.) comply with the criteria established by the different laws and regulations of the applicable government agencies ( JMAS, PROFEPA, SEMARNAT, SDUE, CIVIL PROTECTION, SEGOB, etc.)
- Supervises the safety conditions of fixed containers where dangerous substances are stored.
- Ensures that chemical materials are stored in appropriate containers, are identified and maintain their Safety Data Sheets.
- Supervises its HSE technicians so that they carry out periodic visual verifications of the facilities and structural elements of the plant.
- Review the logs and/or records of the air emissions control equipment. Reports to SEMARNAT the study of emissions into the atmosphere and the annual
- Inventory of Emissions into the atmosphere
- Verifies compliance and adherence to the EHS programs implemented in the company.
- Collects, documents and keeps available relevant information from the different areas of the department: risk management, waste management (air, soil, water, etc.), audits, corporate reports, etc.
- Participate and ensure the closure of corrective actions derived from work risk assessment audits, CSH audits, etc.
- Interacts with inspectors and government representatives, SEMARNAT, JMAS, STPS, PROFEPA, SDUE, CIVIL PROTECTION, etc. Attending visits and following up and closing any administrative action.
- Conducts and coordinates external and internal EHS audits as required.
- Evaluates the entry of a chemical material into BRP Mexico, checking that the Material Safety Data Sheets exist, and maintain control of these.
- Provides technical leadership and functional guidance to staff to ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental criteria as applicable.
- Participates and ensures that the security risk analysis and evaluation program is carried out in accordance with established procedure, promoting risk prevention.
- Monitors, monitors and ensures the validity of the plant's different environmental and operational permits and licenses.
- Follows up on the annual EHS training program ensuring its completion in a timely manner.
- Performs activities assigned by management to support plant operations.
- Participate in compliance with the QMS (Quality Management System) and SGSST (Occupational Health and Safety Management System determined for their function in relation to ISO 9001:2015
- Complete planned training related to Quality and Training on time. (repeated)
- Identify and report any quality and compliance issues and support corrective actions.
- Meets security idea generation metric
- Ensures investigation of work-related injuries is conducted according to procedures, showing leadership in carrying out resulting actions
- Comply with safety rules determined according to your role.
- Ensure compliance with the legal requirements applicable to the workplace.
- Manage the assigned budget according to your assigned area and responsibilities.
