IT Engineer (Infrastructure & Desktop Support)


Job Purpose

Responsible for managing the daily IT infrastructure and desktop support operations of the Mexico facility. This includes maintenance of servers, networks, office computers, hardware/software, and ensuring the security and stability of all IT systems.


Key Responsibilities

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

1. Server and Network Management

Ensure safe and stable operation of servers and core networks; assist with system audits.

System uptime, failure response time

2. Database and System Support

Manage internal systems and databases, optimize SQL queries.

Database response time, performance improvements

3. Infrastructure Planning

Plan IT network infrastructure and layout.

Network availability, improvement proposals

4. Desktop and Hardware Support

Provide daily IT support for end-users, including desktop/laptop maintenance and troubleshooting.

User satisfaction rate, issue resolution time

5. Asset Management

Maintain IT asset records and manage software/hardware inventory.

Accurate asset registry, compliance with company standards


Job Requirements

· Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering, or related field.

· Experience: At least 3 years of relevant working experience in IT support and infrastructure.

· Languages: Proficient in English;


Technical Skills:

· Skilled in Windows and Linux operating systems.

· Proficient with desktop and server maintenance.

· Familiar with database management, backups, SQL optimization.

· Good understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN).

· Experience with office IT setup and support (printers, projectors, routers, etc.).

· Familiar with cybersecurity concepts and practices.
