Chubb is looking for Database Platform Engineering Professional ( Snowflake/Synapse) with a Bachelor's Degree to join our Digital Analytics Platform Support team. Our Information Technology team is dedicated to creating competitive advantages in products, customer services and business costs by driving digital transformation in our business with a modernized focus on agile methodology and data analytics.

Responsibilities

Ideal candidate will be a highly skilled platform engineer with deep knowledge of Snowflake ( preferred ) or similar technologies like Synase, Athena, Redshift etc. You are a self-starter who is passionate about Database Technologies, Data Engineering and Analytics. You are adept at providing solutions to challenging data problems by utilizing a variety of different strategies, architectures and design patterns as well as optimizations.

• In depth knowledge of SnowFlake or equivalent Technologies
• Good understanding of Cloud Data & Analytics Platform Technologies and Architecture
• Set and enforce Standards and best practices.
• Work with Infra-Structure Engineering, Security and Vendor teams to ensure compliance
• Automate Project and team onboarding processing using dev/ops tools
• Support Application development teams on issues and requests
• Researching and develop roadmaps for Data Platform capabilities
• Build proof of concepts & prototypes to solve emerging challenges
• Stay current with new data technologies and programming models
• Be self-motivated and creative.

Qualifications

Ideal candidate will be a Data Platform Engineer with hands on experience in Cloud Data & Analytics projects.

• Degree in software engineering, computer science or other engineering field
• 1-2 years of experience in cloud data lake technologies, preferably Azure
• 3-5 years of Data Platform Engineering experience (Snowflake or equivalent like synapse, Athena, Red-shift etc )
• Experience in backup, recovering, performance tuning and monitoring
• Experience in CI/CD, Dev/ops, cloud security in Agile setting
• Skilled in SQL, Spark-SQL data processing technologies
• Proficient in handling complex structured and large unstructured datasets
• Experience in data and database design and best practices
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization
• Familiar with working in linux operating system and scripting
