Quality Supervisor

The Quality Supervisor is a key role within the Quality Assurance department, reporting directly to the Quality Manager. This position is responsible for planning, establishing, and managing the quality system at the production base in Mexico. The primary objective is to ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards, support product quality planning, and oversee quality inspections. The Quality Representative will work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain high-quality standards in the manufacturing of bearing cages and die casting components.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality System Management:

• Establish and maintain the quality management system in compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits with certification bodies.

1. Product Quality Planning:

• Develop and implement quality plans for new and existing products.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.

1. Quality Inspections:

• Create and enforce work instructions for product inspections.
• Oversee the inspection process to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

1. Continuous Improvement:

• Identify areas for quality improvement and implement corrective actions to address issues.
• Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization.

Work Collaboration Relationships

• Internal: Collaborate with the Production, Engineering, and Procurement departments to ensure alignment on quality objectives.
• External: Work with certification bodies, customers, and suppliers to maintain compliance and address quality-related concerns.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree or above in Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Work Experience:
• At least 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• 2+ years of experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Professional Certification: Certifications in IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 are highly preferred.
• Language: Fluency in Spanish and English is mandatory.
• Professional Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of quality management systems, including IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
• Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies such as APQP, PPAP, and FMEA.
• Familiarity with automotive industry standards.
• Skills:
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in quality management software.
• Personal Qualities: The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to quality excellence.
