Optimize the parameters of the low pressure die casting process (LPDC) to ensure quality and productivity.
Ensure the metallurgical quality of the casting components.
Participate in process audits.
Lead projects related to metal yield and scrap reduction, focusing on continuous improvement to reduce scrap.
Responsible for process documentation.
Analyze internal and field failures, proposing corrective and preventive actions.
Develop new products and molds.
Job Requirements
Graduated in Metallurgical, Materials, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
+8 years of experience in low pressure die casting (aluminum / zinc / copper / bronze alloys).
Strong experience in the production of automotive, hydraulic or sanitary parts.
Solid knowledge in metal temperature / applied pressure / mold filling time / mold venting / post-cast heat treatment.
Experience in casting cell automation or MES integration.
Knowledge of quality tools.
Experience in casting defect analysis (porosity, cracks, inclusions).
Knowledge in mold filling simulation software such as MAGMASOFT / ProCAST / FLOW-3D Cast.
Knowledge of metal standards and dimensional quality requirements.
Proficiency in English language.
