Agile Coach
The Lean Agile Center of Enablement is a small group of enthusiastic Agilists in IT, that is responsible for enabling and uplifting the Agile capabilities and mindset in AstraZeneca through training, coaching, process simplifications, and provisioning of appropriate tools.
As a member of the AstraZeneca Lean Agile Center of Enablement, the Agile Coach will work with Delivery Teams, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, AZ IT leaders, and business stakeholders to assist with ongoing deployment of Agile Technical practices across AstraZeneca. The Agile Coach, may provide hands-on support to Agile teams and employees at times, while also collaborating with people across widely varying levels and roles in the organization to create the requisite environment. The individual will work with stakeholders to drive improvements in agile and engineering maturity and work with teams to advance technical practices.
Required Skills:
• 5+ years successfully working as an Agile Coach/Scrum Master with hands-on experience in DevOps and SAFe, participating in transformation efforts and improving DevOps culture and understanding
• Facilitate progress toward delivery goals using Agile practices and other delivery methodologies and coordinate with non-agile teams, as required.
• Ability to provide subject matter expertise to ensure Agile and SCRUM theory, practices, and recommendations are understood and enacted.
• Strong consulting and facilitation skills in leading technical teams in the adoption and improvement of Agile frameworks and technical practices
• Excellent training and presentation skills including the design of training materials.
• Strong relationship building skills, with a demonstrated ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage internal and external communication and improve overall transparency throughout the organization
• Experience facilitating large and small group training sessions
• Proven ability to coach in technical practices such as XP and automation
Others
• Knowledge of TDD/BDD/ATDD practices
• Experience integrating security and performance testing into DevOps pipeline
• Fluent in Spanish and English
• Prior experience coaching teams in DevOps at small to medium organizations a must, large organizations is a plus

• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Effective engagement with senior leaders
• Strong passion to provide instruction and mentoring
• Virtual learning and development design and delivery a plus
• Ability to facilitate discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution
• Experience in the overall planning, organization, and execution of technology initiatives within Agile projects
• Participates in and contributes technical advice to the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) negotiation and agreement among key stakeholders.
• Applies a substantial understanding of Agile to determine best practices, and recommends how to improve current application development
• Awareness of build and virtualization approaches to facilitate delivery
• Experience working in a regulated industry a plus
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, or a combination of relevant education and experience
• Certified Scrum Master, 3+ years of hands-on Agile and/or DevOps coaching experience
• 5+ years of experience in an IT environment
• Certified SAFe Practioner (SPC) 6.0, is plus
