Quality Control Specialist

In the position of Quality Control Specialist, you will act with safety, efficiency, quality, and productivity to ensure that products and systems meet stated requirements. You will employ various test protocols and apply standards to ensure that good quality is maintained and assist in developing test protocols to investigate the integrity of new products, or new functionality for existing products.

Your responsibilities

• Providing assistance to other functional teams to deploy incoming test protocols and to perform first article inspections.
• Ensuring that data are available according to ABB Quality & Operations guidelines.
• Utilizing safety systems to perform work, resulting in an accident-free workplace.
• Notifying others if unsafe situations are observed, and working with local Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) teams to improve safety systems.
• Working with others to improve test protocols and capability, creating greater efficiency, accuracy and reliability of test outcomes.
• Utilizing Lean 6 Sigma to collect, record, and evaluate quantitative metrics that provide descriptive data for the determination of compliance to requirements.
• Training machine operators in basic quality test routines to aid in quality-at-source processes and verifying quality assurance testing.

Your background

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical - Electrical, Industrial, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of experience in similar positions leading teams.
• Experience in the manufacture of electric motors.
• Knowledge of the assembly and winding processes of electric motors.
• Leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14000
• Previous experience with ERP SAP management.
• Intermediate English level.
