With a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, they are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient After Sales Technical Support Engineer to join their team. This role is instrumental in providing expert technical assistance to resolve customer and dealership inquiries related to their vehicles.
Job Summary:
As the After Sales Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to customers, service technicians, and dealership personnel. Your in-depth knowledge of automotive systems and technologies will be essential in diagnosing issues, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring the effective resolution of technical concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Assistance: Provide expert technical support and guidance to customers, service technicians, and dealership staff regarding vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repairs.
Issue Diagnosis: Diagnose complex technical issues by analyzing symptoms, utilizing diagnostic tools, and consulting technical documentation.
Troubleshooting: Guide technicians and customers through the troubleshooting process, offering solutions and step-by-step instructions to resolve problems effectively.
Documentation: Document all technical inquiries, solutions, and resolutions accurately for reference and reporting purposes.
Product Knowledge: Stay up to date with the latest vehicle models, technologies, and updates, and share this knowledge with the team and customers.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that technical repairs and services performed by dealership personnel adhere to the company's quality standards.
Training: Collaborate with the training department to provide input on training materials and participate in training sessions as needed.
Continuous Improvement: Identify trends in technical issues and work with engineering and product development teams to improve vehicle designs and minimize technical concerns.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in automotive technical support or a related role.
Strong understanding of automotive systems and technologies.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
