Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or related roles.
- Advanced English; Chinese language skills are a plus.
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management within a foundry, metal casting, or heavy manufacturing environment.
- Availability to travel as required.
- Knowledge of quality management systems such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage purchasing strategies aligned with production schedules and inventory goals.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships for raw materials such as pig iron, scrap metal, alloys, sand, resins, binders, and refractory materials.
- Support in the negotiation of prices, terms, and contracts to secure the best value and reduce total cost of ownership.
- Understand market trends and supply chain disruptions affecting material availability and pricing.
- Ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials to prevent production delays or downtime.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, quality control, and finance teams to forecast material needs and ensure alignment with plant operations.
- Manage supplier performance, conduct periodic evaluations, and address any non-conformance or delivery issues.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs), including cost savings and supplier performance.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, inventory, and related documentation in ERP or purchasing systems.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations in all procurement activities.
