Job Description

Looking for a hands-on Solution Architect with experience in working for transformational engagements to help clients embrace DIGITAL and move towards DATA DRIVEN DECISION making, who will provide technical leadership and direction to project / product teams by

• Understanding project goals and leverage industry best practices to define best-fit architectural solutions to meet client needs
• Detailing the technical design of systems/services, while also reviewing design and code created by the team. Should not shy away from code and ready to get hands dirty as situation demands.
• Collaborating with project managers/scrum-masters/product-owners in drawing out epics/user stories and in high level effort estimations and timelines for program increments
• Jump-in to build proof of concepts involving various technologies to prove feasibility of solution
• Providing regular support/guidance to project teams around technical aspects, while helping in resolving technical performance/scalability/availability issues during project execution
• Collaborating with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high-quality solutions for clients, while also constantly looking to create reusable artifacts
• Participate in Sales pursuits focused on our clients' business needs
• Continuously explore the emerging technology landscape and proactively come up with Solutions that can address business problems faced by our clients.

Must have:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
At least 5 years of experience in defining architectures with 10+ years in Software development for highly available systems/services in an individual capacity, while employing industry best practices in the following areas:

• Strong Object Orientation and Services design skills with a thorough understanding of software design and architectural patterns
• Experience in design and development spanning technologies across UI, Business Logic, Big Data/DB layer including Integration middleware
• Experience in developing single page web applications leveraging JavaScript based UI frameworks (at least one - Angular, React, Vue etc)
• Experience in architecting systems/services based on Micro Services and APIs using Java/JavaScript as the programming language on their respective platforms (Spring Boot, Node)
• Experience in choosing the best fit SQL/NoSQL Databases, design and development on one or more of the following - PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Cockroach, Couch, Mongo, Redis or Cloud equivalents etc
• Working knowledge with tools spanning IDEs (Eclipse/VSCode), Source Code Mgmt (Git) coupled with Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD) tools (ex: Jenkins/ Spinnaker or Cloud equivalents)

• Experience in Architecture, design and implementation of business functionality / applications on one or more cloud platforms (at least one - GCP, Azure, AWS or PCF) that leverage the very latest in cloud technologies (PAAS Services)
• Experience working on Agile based projects
• Sound Analytical and Communication skills
• Professional Architect Certification on any one of the public cloud providers is a MUST (Google/Azure/AWS)
• Experience in one of the following industry domains - Retail, Consumer Goods, Logistics.

Preferred

• Experience in architectural design of Data Platforms including ingestion of high-volume data stream / events processing (made up of Kafka, Spark, NiFi/Airflow/Flink/Cloud equivalents etc)
• Experience with provisioning cloud infra using Infra-As-Code (IaC) tools (at least one - Terraform, Google Cloud Deployment Manager, AWS CF, Azure ARM etc)
• Experience with designing and provisioning a containerized environment/clusters using Docker & Kubernetes
• Experience in designing systems that are operationally ready by setting up enterprise grade monitoring and alerting platforms using either OSS based tech (Fluentd, Prometheus+Grafana/ELK) or Cloud-Native solutions (Google StackDriver, AWS Cloudwatch, Azure Monitor)
• Experience in planning migration of application and other enterprise workloads into cloud using Re-Host and Re-Platform as strategies
• Experience in Low Code platforms (OutSystems, PowerApps, Mendix, Quick Base etc)
• Experience in AI & Cognitive technologies to create embedded AI Services
