Job Description:

This position is to participate as a Senior Firewall Engineer to perform migrations from Cisco Firewalls to Checkpoint Firewalls. Fluency in Spanish and English is required, as is being in Mexico (remote, WFH) and having Mexican citizenship. Applications from candidates outside of Mexico will not be accepted.

Location: Anywhere within the country of Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Top Tier-2 Troubleshooting, installation, configuration, and maintenance skills with all the technologies described below.
• Participate as a technical resource on projects.
• Prepare technical procedures, standards, and network schematics of all the solution described below.

1. Firewall (Check Point + Cisco ASA)
2. Proxy (Blue Coat, Cisco IronPort, Umbrella, Zscaler)
3. IPS (Check Point)
4. Network Access Control (NAC) technologies (CISCO ISE)
5. Cisco + Check Point Client & Site to Site VPN configuration and maintenance
6. Check Point Provider-1/ MDM Experience (Upgrading, Troubleshooting & Maintenance)
7. Check Point VSX + Cluster XL Experience (Upgrading, Troubleshooting & Maintenance

Preferred

• Check Point Certifications: CCSA or CCSE
• ITIL Foundations
• Strong skills in Checkpoint VSX
• Availability to support non-business hours
• Firewall/IPS (Check Point + Cisco)
• Client & site-to-site VPN (Check Point + Cisco)

Non-technical Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication (both English and Spanish)
• Proactive, determined with a high capacity for teamwork
• Ability to work with clients and technical staff to assist in implementing solutions to achieve Project milestones
• Work well under pressure and timelines to produce results

Schedule

Migration activities must be performed during nights and weekends. Normal working hours are Mondays through Fridays, 9am to 5pm CST.

Salary Package:
MX$ 55,000.00 - 65,000.00 (Mexican Peso)
