Job Summary
The Import/Export Sr. Lead is a key member of the Supply Chain Planning organization responsible for leading operational cross border activities and maintaining network of finish goods, raw materials & spare parts supply continuity. This role is responsible for managing relationships with carriers, customs brokers and internal stakeholders like finance, demand planning, sales and productions plants. Spare parts vendors, raw materials vendors and internal customers within Niagara Mexico. The Import/Export lead optimizes cross border schedule and costs to ensure the availability of products needed based on the inventory policy & plant requirements
Essential Functions
- Transpotation:
- Ensure to have in place carrier capacity according to company needs
- Schedule & assign daily trips to carriers thru OTM
- Follow up carrier arrivals to different customs ports and deliveries to final customer or Niagara locations
- Create weekly & Monthly carrier transactions reports
- Customs
- Operate according to Customs Compliance Policies
- Provide and create any cutoms document needed to ensure operation continuity
- Create strong relationship between Customs Brokers & Carriers
- Create Weekly & Monthly customs Reports
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications:
- 4 Years – Experience in Import/Export, Transportation, Purchasing, MRP, Procurement, Planning or similar function
- 2 Years – Experience managing people/projects
*experience may include a combination of work experience and education
- Travels approximately 30%
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 Years – Experience in Import/Export, Purchasing, MRP, Procurement, Planning or similar function
