Role description and core responsabilities:

• Coordinates all aspects of a product or services offering project management for a client, from inception to installation.
• Installations may involve acceptance of capitalized equipment orenterprise software systems, or system integration or consultingprojects/engagements.
• May work at client site from time to time.
• Typically involves extensive interaction with sales and othermembers of cross-functional teams.
• Projects will consist of installations of diverse hardware andsoftware product lines, system integrations or consulting projects/engagements.
• Project management skills, rather than technical skills, are key,but a strong IT technical background is required to manage competing interests.
• Typically oversees schedules and budgets to ensure goalattainment.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Manages the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple medium scale projects.
• Meet with customers/customers contractors and perform site visits to help the customer prepare their netwrok facilities for a successful and efficientinstallation of our devices.
• Monitor customer facility preparation and coordinate equipmentshipment schedules to ensure timely and effective installation and commissioningof equipment.
• Provide reports indicating installation activities and analyzingschedules.
• Will work at client site to review progress and conduct project meetings.
• Up to 75% travel to client site to review progress and conductproject meetings.

HardwareProject Manager-Specific Requirements:

• Perform routine project management and site planning to ensurecustomer compliance with building and technical requirements, both Varian's andlocal municipalities, for equipment installations.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of building codes, OSHA, and otherlegal requirements related to the construction industry and Varian specificdata packages/drawings.

SoftwareProject Manager-Specific Requirements:

• Strong knowledge on network topologies: DNS, firewalls, Windows backup routines, basic knowledge of switchs
• A/D Microsoft
• Data base management with Microsoft SQL
• Must have a general knowledge of network design,software controls systems, and server management.
• Knowledge of the use and deployment of software in a healthcare environment, especially as applied to cancer care.

Your attributes and skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Medical device experience.
• Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, MicrosoftProject, Visio, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and SQL
• Experiencewith TaskRay. SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technologies or Engineering. (or equivalent experience)
• 2-5 years of related work experience is required
• Travel required.
