Job Description

  • Assume a leadership role in planning, executing, and closing improvement projects within the Vertiv Operating System (VOS) department, collaborating with various leaders to achieve project goals.
  • Work closely with leaders from different departments, including End-to-end Transactional Process Improvement, Functional Excellence, Internal Governance, to understand project requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, timelines, resource requirements, and deliverables. Execute projects according to established plans, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing issues to prevent delays or roadblocks. Implement contingency plans as needed to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to allocate and manage resources effectively, ensuring that project teams have the necessary support to meet project objectives.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for each project, providing regular reports to department leaders on project status, milestones achieved, and areas requiring attention.
  • Support leaders in change management efforts associated with improvement projects, assisting in the communication and adoption of new processes or frameworks.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within project teams, seeking feedback, and implementing lessons learned to enhance project management processes.


Responsibilities:
  • Assume a leadership role in planning, executing, and closing improvement projects within the VOS department.
  • Collaborate with leaders from various departments to understand project requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, timelines, resource requirements, and deliverables.
  • Execute projects according to established plans, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, address concerns, and manage expectations.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, addressing issues proactively to prevent delays or roadblocks.

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent of 1-3 years' experience
  • Six Sigma / Lean certifications / PMP or any other Project Management certification, preferred
  • Smartsheet / Power BI experience


Requirements:

Required Experience
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in process improvement or organizational development projects.
  • Experience in implementing continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Prior experience using word processing, spreadsheet, statistical analysis, and presentation software.


Skills Required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, utilizing data-driven insights for decision-making.
  • Excellent Spanish/English communication and interpersonal skills, conveying complex concepts clearly.
  • Ability to create and manage comprehensive documentation systems.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, planning, executing, and overseeing projects from conception to completion.
  • Experience leading change management initiatives, guiding teams through transitions.
  • Proven leadership skills, motivating and guiding cross-functional teams toward common goals.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
