We are looking for a hands-on and proactive Accounting Manager to lead all accounting activities in Mexico. This role will act as the right hand of the Regional Controller and ensure accurate reporting, compliance with local regulations, and team leadership, while maintaining close coordination with U.S.-based teams.

Description

• Lead all accounting operations in Mexico, ensuring accurate and timely closings.
• Oversee a team of accountants and inventory analysts.
• Ensure compliance with Mexican GAAP (NIF) and collaborate with auditors.
• Support the transition and future implementation of SAP.
• Supervise tax-related matters, including VAT returns and coordination with external advisors.
• Analyze financial performance, review product profitability, and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Reinforce internal controls and identify areas for process improvement.
• Act as the key liaison with U.S.-based finance teams, providing reports and insights in advanced English.
• Ensure timely compliance with internal reporting deadlines.

Profile

• Degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting roles, including team leadership.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican accounting standards (NIF) and IFRS.
• Advanced English is mandatory (daily communication with U.S. teams and CFO).
• Hands-on experience with month-end closings, audits, and taxes.
• Familiar with ERP systems, preferably SAP or similar.
• Strong leadership, communication, and process improvement skills.
