What YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
In this position, you will get to:
- Support several manufacturing processes to ensure equipment uptime, meet production goals and maintain high product quality.
- Prepare and maintains manufacturing documentation (Routers, BOMS's, Standard Work, and Work Instructions) for new and existing equipment in manufacturing.
- Find opportunities and lead projects to improve efficiency, reduce costs, improve quality and achieve on time delivery to meet production needs.
- Lead new equipment financial justifications, installations, process modifications and improvements.
- Work with operators, team leaders, value stream managers, and planners to optimize process center layouts and designs incorporating material flow and line balancing.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operators to solve equipment problems.
- Coordinate with Product Development to optimally launch new products into high-volume manufacturing.
- Champion Lean Manufacturing across the plant through multi-functional events and continuous improvement projects.
You have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
- 3+ years of significant experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or related subject area.
- Previous experiences in cooling is a plus.
- Familiar with statistical methods, 6-sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
- Fluent in English.
- Experience working with NPI.
- Knowledge of Product/Process validation and documentation.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers.
- Self-motivated and ability to empower others.
- Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities.
- Proficient use of Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.
- Experience in sheet metal processes.
- Experience with AutoCAD and / or Solidworks
- Lean manufacturing background and a strong focus on continuous improvement.
