As a leader of EHS, SECURITY and FACILITIES Leader for the site, you will be an active contributor to the successful operation of the GE VERNOVA Morelia Repairs Site, serving as the point of contact for EHS, Security and Facilities.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Serve as leader for all business requests related to EHS and SECURITY management (customers/stakeholders).
• Be responsible for driving business EHS and SECURITY goals, programs, and processes, both regulatory and corporate, to meet business goals and objectives.
• Understand Federal, State, and Local occupational safety, environment, and health regulations and monitor regulatory changes as they occur.
• Anticipate identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices and good knowledge on accident prevention, inspection procedures, accident investigation and reporting, FW 2.0 standard work, risk management, hazard recognition techniques, LOTO procedures, hazardous materials, and process chemistry.
• Responsible for the development, improvement, and implementation of EHS programs and processes, including processes such as Safety Risk Assessments and Safe Operating Procedures, Management of Change, High Risk Operations, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental programs (air, stormwater, wastewater, waste), Training, Emergency Preparedness and Fire Protection, Radiation Safety and Chemical Management in accordance with business, company, and regulatory policy.
• Work with Operation Leaders, Maintenance, Medical and other EHS leaders, to effectively implement, modify and revise EHS requirements, as well as manage EHS training plans, training facilitation, and delivery of EHS training as needed.
• Ensure successful security leadership to sustain business operations and protect the employees, assets, and proprietary information.
• Be a strong promoter of policy compliance and decision making based on risk-analysis.
• Evaluation of compliance with the legal requirements of the legal entity and the facility.
• Serve as a Leader for Investigations of Accidents, Incidents, environmental events, and other types of events.
• Coordinate meetings of workers and management regarding the environment, safety and health (EHS Committee).
• Advise the Site's Leadership on the EHS preventive measures to adopt as well as on the EHS risks and opportunities in the scope of the operation.
• Manages and coordinates the Preventive/Scheduled maintenance activities of the general facilities of the property and building following the safety, health and environment policy established in the plant, as well as the necessary contracts to comply with the maintenance program. Hire and coordinate corrective maintenance activities.
• Facilities activities includes janitorial and landscaping contractor management, security contractor management, utilities management and others.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, EHS Engineering, or Engineering degree.
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience on Environmental Health & Safety on an Industrial, Service and or Manufacturing shop type of environment.

• Demonstrated technical expertise in managing EHS risks associated with Ergonomics, Electrical Safety, Control of Hazardous Energy programs, Safety Risk Assessments and Safe Operating Procedures, Management of Change, High Risk Operations, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental programs (air, stormwater, wastewater, waste), Training, Emergency Preparedness and Fire Protection, Radiation Safety and Chemical Management.
• Strong background that includes managing building security.
• Demonstrated experience in project management, leading multi-disciplinary teams, connecting with stakeholders, problem analysis and resolution, strategic thinking and change management.
• Strong communication skills, written and oral (English and Spanish)
• Demonstrated transparency, adherence to Compliance.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

This position is not eligible for telework. It will be located at the Morelia Repairs Site, located in Morelia, Michoacan.
