Location: Escobedo N.L.
We are looking for a Plant Controller to join our team in a plastic injection molding company.
Responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the manufacturing facility. Provide guidance to ensure the profitability of the business while maintaining cost efficiency and supporting strategic decision-making.
I. Required
- 3+ years of experience in a financial management role, such as SR. Cost Accountant or Cost Manager, preferably within manufacturing.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial analysis, and budgeting within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., EPICOR, Oracle, or equivalent ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with inventory management and capital expenditure tracking.
- Fully bilingual English – Spanish.
II. Responsibilities
- Direct all divisions-wide financial activities including the following areas: General Accounting, Tax, Cost Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Capital and Cash Management.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for plant operations.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Manage the plant budget and financial forecasts. Analyze variances between actual results and the budget to recommend corrective actions.
- Cost Control: Monitor and control manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, and overhead, ensuring optimal cost efficiency.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory valuation and ensure accurate reporting of stock levels, cycle counts, and inventory costing methods.
- Capital Expenditure: Analyze and report on capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects to ensure alignment with plant financial goals.
- Operational Analysis: Collaborate with the plant leadership to assess the financial impact of production schedules, capacity, and efficiency improvements.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and external regulations. Ensure US GAAP, NIIF standard regulations and Mexican regulations compliance.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial and operational performance. Coordinate cost-reduction initiatives.
- Risk Management: Identify financial risks and provide recommendations for mitigation to ensure plant stability.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals. Foster a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams.
- Wear the applicable personal protective equipment.
- Ensure compliance with the applicable ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 1401:2015 requirements
