Sr Cost Accountant

Position Summary:

The key roles for the Project Controller will be to execute profitability calculations and enable the leadership team to perform a project/product-based steering of their business. Support feasibility studies for new plant projects and conduct analysis for both MaB (make-and-buy) and technical change investigations for current and future products.

Tasks:

• Execution of product-/project-basedprofitability calculations (WIRE) and alignment of the results with the respective stakeholders (e.g. PL-heads, project core teams etc.)
• Collection, monitoring and performance of plausibility checks for all input data of profitability calculations including data from ZF internal suppliers
• Creation of deviation analyses (e.g. compared to previous profitability versions, compared to OP etc.) incl. identification of main deviation drivers and definition of improvement measures
• Preparation and support for cost reduction workshops and customer negotiations
• Feasibility studies for the implementation of new production plants and business cases for Joint Venture negotiations
• Economic evaluations within the context of MaB investigations (make-and-buy) and commercial support for (technical) change processes.

Knowledge:

• Working knowledge of accounting, finance, and controlling processes
• Working knowledge of ad-hoc financial analysis and the generation of monthly management reports
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP
• Proven organizational and project management abilities
• Solid problem solving and analytical skills with a high attention to detail
• Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience as a cost analyst, cost accountant, or comparable position/experience
• English language competency - both oral and written
