The Production Manager the manufacturing process of diploma covers, ensuring efficient production, quality control, and timely delivery. Is responsible for overall management of the Production area to include employee development and safety, productivity, recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions, and coordination of all cross-functional operations and change initiatives to achieve the lowest operating cost while meeting customer and company objectives for quality, quantity, and delivery commitments as demanded by the marketplace. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team effectively.
Essential Job Functions:
·Oversee and directs production activities so that approved products are manufactured in sequence and in compliance to meet quality, cost, and cycle time commitments as set forth by the customer and company.
·Monitor production processes to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
·Direct and develop supervisors and production employees in the execution of their responsibilities to ensure meeting the company objectives for meeting all service and delivery commitments to provide a positive experience to our customers.
·Ensures the adherence of company contracts, policies and procedures, as well as evaluating and approving revisions to same.
·Maintain appropriate communications within areas of responsibility and prepare reports to inform of plans and progress and performance versus those plans to direct supervisor.
·Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
·Prepare activity plans and forecast of manufacturing.
·Propose improvements for production control, standard operator procedures, safety, quality control and performance management.
·Manage the daily operations of the department including scheduling to ensure timelines are followed
·Monitor product quality and provide feedback to production team
·Conduct cost analyses to determine the most cost-effective methods for meeting the organization's needs
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
Fully bilingual English/Spanish (verbal and written).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in the diploma covers or related industry.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Proficiency in production management software and tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work under pressure.
