Primary Purpose

The Accounting coordinator reports directly to the General Accounting Manager, who reports to the Local Controller.

The Accounting Coordinator has the primary responsibility to support the WH team and Controllership Team to ensure the monthly, quarterly and yearend financial reporting is timely and accurate. This position is responsible for the monthly costing of finished goods, raw material and work in process accounting analysis, monthly financial statement closing and support on effective internal controls in compliance with SOX, company policies, and USGAAP and Local GAAP.

Main Responsibilities

Responsible for the financial reporting processes accurate and timely. This includes the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement closing procedures, account reconciliations, and establishing judgmental reserve balances.

Ensure processes are in compliance with U.S. GAAP and Company Policies.

Support that identified control and internal audit gaps are remediate on a timely basis.

Supervise Intercompany and Accounts Payable Transactions.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to finance processes and systems.

Responsible for the upkeep and upgrades of the accounting systems and for accounting initiatives.

Support on audit activities with internal and external auditors.

Maintain effective communication and relationship with local and regional leadership team.

Maintain accounting entries aligned with company policies and local requirements.

Provide timely and accurate account analysis and reporting.

Analyze accounts under his/her responsibility explaining any deviation or pending items.

Fixed Asset Administration of the Company Capitalize, Work in Progress and compliance with policies.

Prepare Standard Cost calculation, Cost Reports, Manufacturing Indicators, control Plant Budgets, ensure proper Cost allocation to the material. Physical Inventory process and other cost related activities

Accomplish with SOX requirements.

Build organizational capability for innovation through training and other avenues.

Identify solutions to market back challenges by leveraging Open Innovation, emerging technologies, partnerships, networks, suppliers, etc.

Continuously promote changes and innovative improvements on process, systems and business concepts in order to deliver profitable and sustainable growth opportunities to Goodyear.

Coordinate and drive the preparation of the annual plan AOP and the monthly forecast. Quarterly, prepare Loss Analysis. Financial validation of new investment for the plant.

Education and Certifications

Bachelor university degree in Public Accountant, Finance or similar

Fluency in English and Spanish

Experience

Minimum 6 years of progressively more responsible experience in cost / accounting / analysis in multinational companies.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Track record of achieving measurable business objectives.

Thorough understanding of NIF and U.S. GAAP, accounting for complex transactions and internal controls in compliance with SOX.

Strong knowledge, understanding, and practical skills in relevant systems i.e. ERP system SAP preferred, MS Office products, as applicable to the country.

Consulting skills, including the ability to draw on the ideas of key team members and convert them into meaningful plans.

Interpersonal skills that establish and maintain excellent relationships and credibility quickly. Creates team atmosphere while achieving key objectives.

Demonstrates understanding of how key accounting decisions impact the business units and forecasted operating results/cash flows.

Knowledge in consolidation process.

Knowledge in Factory, Supply Chain and logistic process.
