We are looking for a: Supplier Quality Engineer

This position requires a detail-oriented person with strong communication skills. Analysis and reporting must be performed daily to support the company in decision-making.

Location: San Luis Potosí, on site poition

Main responsibilities

Access quality and ensure al products are free from defects and in compliance with engineering and manufacturing specifications and standards. The Engineer works to resolve any quality issues and provide guidance on process enhancements and improvements.

Duties and responsibilities

• Reviews PPAP submissions from suppliers for product approval, including reviewing supplier documentation, such as warrant, PFC, FMEA, control plan, etc.
• Interacts with production, suppliers, and engineers to investigate quality control issues.
• Work with suppliers to resolve any supplier related issues
• Determines quality of critical parts and supplier approvals.
• Assigns design assembly to design engineer associated to part/assembly for review and approval.
• Eliminates defects of casted and forged parts through SPC, DOE, and six-sigma concepts.
• Work with project teams to define project deliverables.
• Using SAP to establish inventory impact and address any adjustments required.
• Using Six Sigma concept to eliminate defects of casted and forged parts through SPE, DOE
• Conduct supplier audits, developing improvement pans and tracking items to closure
• Maintain detailed reports supplier quality.
• Must be willing to travel
