Graphic Designer (Sign Industry)

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, with a strong emphasis on Adobe Illustrator

• Solid understanding of graphic design principles specific to the sign industry

• Ability to create print-ready, to-scale digital artwork in various formats

• Basic understanding of architectural drawings

• Familiarity with drawing scales (e.g., 1:1, 1:12, 1:120)

• Comfortable with basic math and geometry

• Capable of calculating square footage for design and production

• Strong knowledge of color theory and its application in signage

• Excellent grasp of typography and layout

• Strong project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines

• Bonus/Preferred:

• Familiarity with sign materials and fabrication processes

Job Description – Graphic Designer (Sign Industry)

We are seeking a Graphic Designer with a strong background in visual design and a working knowledge of the sign industry to join our creative and fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will have proficient Adobe Illustrator skills, a keen eye for detail, and the technical ability to produce to-scale, print-ready graphics that are used in the fabrication of signage for a wide range of applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design signage concepts using Adobe Creative Suite, with an emphasis on Illustrator

• Produce accurate to-scale digital artwork in multiple formats for production and client presentations

• Interpret architectural drawings and integrate signage design appropriately

• Work with drawing scales and perform calculations involving square footage, dimensions, and placement

• Apply strong typography and color theory principles to visual designs

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and client specifications

• Collaborate with sales, production, and installation teams to ensure design intent is maintained through to final product

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in graphic design, preferably within the signage industry

• Understanding of basic geometry, scaling, and technical drawings

• Strong sense of layout, color, and font usage

• Experience managing creative projects from concept to completion

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred (but not required):

Familiarity with sign materials and fabrication processes

Understanding of ADA compliance for signage design
