You Are:

UST is searching for a JavaScript Developer who will Independently develop error-free code with high-quality validation of applications, guide other developers, and assist Lead 1 - Software Engineering.

The Opportunity:

• Understand and provide input to the application/feature/component designs; developing the same in accordance with user stories/requirements.
• Code, debug, test, document, and communicate product/component/features at the development stages.
• Select appropriate technical options for development such as reusing, improving, or reconfiguration existing components.
• Optimise efficiency, cost, and quality by identifying opportunities for automation/process improvements and agile delivery models
• Mentor Developer 1 - Software Engineering and Developer 2 - Software Engineering to effectively perform in their roles
• Identify the problem patterns and improve the technical design of the application/system
• Proactively identify issues/defects/flaws in module/requirement implementation
• Assists Lead 1 - Software Engineering on Technical design. Review activities and begin demonstrating Lead 1 capabilities in making technical decisions

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

What you need:

• Preferred experience with any cloud (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Strong expertise in JavaScript/Typescript.
• Experience architecting event-based systems or microservices is a plus.
• Proficiency in using tools such as DataDog, Splunk, App Insights, New Relic, etc.
• Proven experience with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines. (Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, etc)
• Working with unit testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud Functions or AWS Lambda.
• Essential Node.js and Express experience.
• Experience with Ruby is a plus.
• Angular/Vue/React experience is a plus but not preferred.
• Experience working with fast-paced Agile teams is mandatory.
• Nearshore candidates are ideal (Onshore or US Based candidates will be considered with competitive pricing)
• This position is a long-term contract.
• Candidates must be available to support the Mountain Time zone.
• Minimum of 3-6 years of development experience.
