Our technology is used to book that magical family holiday, infamous bachelorette party or long overdue school reunion. While we can't solve mosquito bites or lost luggage, we can simplify a lot of the technical parts of travel, and we're looking for the best thinkers to help us do it.
The Software Engineering Internship:6-months', 30-40 hours per week (depending on your academic schedule), fixed-term contract starting January/February 2024.At Travelport, we're passionate about Java and JavaScript. Responsibilities include: - Collaborate with the development team to design, code, and test software applications using Java and JavaScript.
- Identify and resolve software defects and issues, ensuring high-quality, bug-free code.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Work on various software development life cycle stages, from conception and design to implementation and maintenance.
- Contribute to the documentation and knowledge-sharing efforts within the team
Who we are looking for in this role: - You are an undergraduate and enrolled in the final year (essential requirement) of a relevant degree program, such as Computer Science, Electronics, Informatics or Software Engineering.
- You are familiar with Java and JavaScript and a strong desire to expand your skills.
- You have a good understanding of software development concepts, algorithms, and data structures.
- You have strong communication skills, in Spanish and English; you're able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- You are based in Guadalajara and available to come to the office 3 days per week.

3rd step: An invitation to attend our Showcase Assessment Day at our offices on Tuesday 5th December during which you will have the opportunity to meet with our team and demonstrate your coding skills!
4th step: If successful you will receive an offer from us by Friday 8th December
5th step: you join the Travelport team in January/February of 2024
