Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned OMS Engineer to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our Order Management System, built on the Fluent Commerce platform. This role is integral to ensuring seamless order processing across our digital ecosystem within a global consumer goods company. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, scalable solutions that enhance operational efficiency and the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development & Customization: Design, develop, and implement high-quality custom features, workflows, and interfaces tailored to business needs using the Fluent Commerce platform.
• System Integration: Ensure smooth connectivity between OMS and other enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, warehouse management, and payment platforms.
• Performance Tuning: Analyze and enhance OMS performance, identifying bottlenecks and improving efficiency in order lifecycle processing.
• Quality Assurance: Create and execute testing plans to guarantee system stability and high-quality releases.
• Issue Resolution: Provide Level 2/3 support, addressing production incidents promptly to minimize business disruptions.
• Architecture Contribution: Support the architectural design of scalable and secure OMS solutions, aligned with enterprise standards.
• Peer Collaboration: Participate in code reviews, mentor developers, and contribute to continuous improvement within the development team.
• Technology Evolution: Stay updated on platform updates and industry trends, identifying opportunities to enhance system capabilities.
• Documentation: Maintain clear, accurate documentation of technical configurations, workflows, and integrations.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with external system integrators and internal IT teams to drive project success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on OMS platforms.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Fluent Commerce or similar platforms (e.g., Sterling OMS), including architecture, API usage, and development patterns.
• Proficiency in languages such as Java, JavaScript, Groovy, and scripting languages.
• Solid experience with web services and API protocols (REST, SOAP, GraphQL).
• Familiarity with integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Tibco).
• Strong knowledge of order lifecycle processes including routing, inventory, and logistics.
• Proficient with version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows.
• Effective communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
• Cloud platform knowledge (AWS, Azure, GCP) is an advantage.
