About the Role.

• This position will have strong influence on Harman's OEM Electronics Advanced Manufacturing Engineering initiatives: supported through frequent interactions with regional and local colleagues to deliver manufacturing traceability and related data management solutions. As a MES functional expert, this role has design, concept and collaboration responsibility for new manufacturing processes and equipment through following tasks:

• For new product launches, evaluate data acquisition, data reporting and labeling needs. Work with global MES team to generate business requirement document and formulate architecture to deliver desired solution.
• Make Effective use of test servers to validate new MES features/solutions before rolling them out in mass production.
• Work with vendors to create MES flow charts. Help vendors to develop and test MES interfaces.
• Simultaneously work on multiple projects. Work closely with MES team and plant engineers/management to schedule new builds rollout. Create and maintain new build validation reports.
• Develop middleware applications for MES interfaces.
• Develop new customer label templates, work with plant engineers to test and validate new label scripts.
• Continuously evaluate new traceability and reporting needs. Develop mockups and create at task project request to initiate new MES projects.
• Work with all engineering disciplines and manufacturing to improve production processes through efficient and cost-effective solutions.
• Experience in defining, knowledge and implementation of MES as manufacturing process environment.
• Mentor, coach, preparation, and execution of MES in the organization.
• Participate in the MES/SCADA systems implementation of technical specifications necessaries for integrate into our systems.
• Experience in data acquisition from any device as PLC's, Controllers, CPU's, Apps, IoT for MES systems.
• Monitor MES impact in line efficiency, performance, and support production line equipment environment.
• Define and prepare Equipment specifications for integration with MES system.
• Understanding of manufacturing process analysis, design, and implementation within the MES landscape, specially under consideration SAP ME standards.
• Experience in Industry 4.0 Manufacturing for enhanced productivity, efficiency, and flexibility.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems or similar with 3 to 5 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (SAP ME, GE Profecy, Siemens, Wonderware, etc.).
• Familiarity with process automation and HMI systems.
• Should be able to create business logic flows, documentation, and work instructions (VJIs).
• Demonstrated experience with MES and automation integration.
• Knowledge of PLC (Omron, Rockwell), programming languages (Visual Basic, C#, C++, Python, scripts code, Visual studio understanding, ASP.NET), communication Ethernet/IP, Client/Server OPC-UA fundaments, Client-Server Architecture.
• Knowledge of different label symbologies, label making programs.
• Project management of timelines/budgets and active goal oriented with respect to schedules.
• Good understanding of Web Services and experience as Database concepts technology.
• Knowledge in electrical, Networks, and/or Controls panels debugging.
• Experience in MES/ERP code and/or code development/debug.
• Diverse skillset in process controls, program lifecycle management (PLM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP).
