Job Description
What you will do

• Work alongside software engineering teams to implement infrastructure changes needed for future releases;
• Partner with production systems team to plan and document production deployments and oversee execution of deployment plan;
• Support and improve tools for continuous build, automated testing, and automated release management;
• Understand the build process and identify bottleneck areas for improvement;
• Responsible for multiple non-production infrastructure environments;
• Support and enhance production-like environments to ensure integrated products have reliability, observability and maintainability required for production deployment;
• Assist in troubleshooting deployment and application issues;
• Drive operational excellence and partner with key stakeholders to deliver the R&D roadmap.

Must haves

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience;
• 2+ years of working experience with Ruby and the ability to create queries to extract data and build performant datasets, as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases;
• 2+ years of experience working with AWS;
• 2+ years of practical experience with data modeling.Bachelor's Degree in computer engineering, computer science, or electrical engineering or equivalent experience;
• Significant technical experience in release automation engineering, Continuous Integration, DevOps, software/systems developer, software development & release engineering manager, or related role;
• Experience working in an Agile environment;
• Proven experience of automation through available APIs, SDKs and scripts with an emphasis on process improvement; Bash, python, Java and Maven experience are crucial;
• Infrastructure-as-Code development experience on AWS with Terraform. Ability to add new AWS resources to a given stack via Terraform;
• Experience with Observability platforms (e.g., DataDog, NewRelic, Dynatrace), creating dashboards with version markers, implementing synthetics and actionable alerts;
• Familiarity with System Reliability Engineering terms and implementing measurements on SLIs;
• Strong intra-team communication and ability to clearly express ideas;
• Ability to cover US Pacific time zone business hours.

Nice to haves

• Terraform and Ansible experience is a plus.
