QMS Coordinator
Location
Apodaca, Nuevo León
Role Description
The QMS Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all activities related to the Quality Management System, including internal audits, external audit preparation, document control, and compliance monitoring. This role ensures that the company maintains certification and meets all quality standards, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This position will also collaborate with the EHS team during the EMS implementation, assisting in document control, internal audit coordination, and compliance tracking for environmental objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Plan, execute, and follow up on internal QMS audits as per ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
- Maintain and update the Quality Management System documentation.
- Prepare the organization for surveillance and recertification audits.
- Coordinate and track corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs) derived from audits, non-conformities, or management reviews.
- Ensure compliance with the latest QMS standards and communicate relevant changes to the organization.
- Collaborate with all departments to ensure process compliance and alignment to QMS.
- Maintain records and metrics related to QMS performance.
- Lead or support QMS-related training across the organization.
- Support Quality Manager and Quality Director with Management Review planning and reporting.
- Assist in aligning QMS and EMS procedures where overlap exists (e.g., risk management, non-conformance handling, training records).
- Secondary Function: Support the EHS team with internal audit scheduling, findings follow-up, and documentation control as needed (during Certification Process)
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Solid knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and the 2024 amendment.
- Experience in auditing (preferably as Lead Auditor).
- Ability to interpret quality standards and translate them into procedures and controls.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of ISO 14001:2015 and environmental management principles (Plus)
SECURITY COMPETENCIES
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of QMS records and sensitive quality data.
- Comply with all internal policies and applicable standards related to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Report risks and non-compliances immediately to management.
- Cooperation during the EMS implementation efforts when cross-functional support is required.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Support special projects related to certifications, or new Management System integration
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Document Control to ensure controlled access and distribution of QMS documentation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Industrial Engineer or related field
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in QMS maintenance and/or implementation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- ISO Management Standards knowledge
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally

Recruitment Process
Once the profile is reviewed by the HR and administration staff you will receive a call or a message from DY Mechatronics Mexico. It is a 3 step process which requires 3 different interviews. The first interview is held by phone call from the HR staff for general information and CV fact check. The second one follows up with a face to face interview in our offices with the participation of the administrative staff as well as the HR team. The last but not least interview is held with the participation of our vice-president and staff in which the final decision is made.
