Danfoss Mexico is looking for a Tactical Buyer for our plant in Reynosa. As Tactical Buyer you will be resposible to Execute material planning for purchased components in alignment with the production plan requirements. Utilize MRP to effectively communicate schedules and purchase orders to suppliers, follow-up with suppliers daily, manage inventory levels to ensure consistent flow of materials, and provide daily updates to the production planning/master scheduling teams.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

• Execute material planning to procure raw materials through a consistent process, reducing variation on the supply base.
• Accountable for inventory performance of a set of suppliers/commodities to maintain balance of on-time delivery and working capital performance.
• Utilize MRP to ensure timely and accurate communication of supplier schedules and/or discrete purchase order releases.
• Manage the ramp-up/ramp-down of new productions in conjunction with the APQP process to ensure consistency of delivery and minimization of obsolete inventories.
• Minimize all inbound/outbound premium freight.
• Complete root cause analysis on all supplier interruptions; develop robust improvement plans to ensure consistency of material flow.
• Support and work with other departments and/or functions to resolve materials issues.
• Review and adhere to established processes.
• Propose continuous improvement initiatives both internal and external to the function, which drive efficient use of resources.
• Communicate forecasts to suppliers (particularly with long lead time items) to ensure material flow in the supply chain.
• Follow escalation process to expedite materials and/or any other supply issue according to business needs.
• Participate and provide support in cost outs and continuous improvement projects.
• Support all activities related to accounts payable to ensure on-time payment to suppliers and avoid accounts "credit hold."
• Maintain relationships with supplier base to ensure efficient and transparent flow of two-way communication.
• Follow up on engineering changes on components or changes of suppliers.
• Ensure activities are in compliance with the QMS (ISO-9001 and IATF16949) and quality policy, aligned with the strategic direction of the organization and business context.
• Ensure quality management system (ISO-9001 and IATF16949) requirements and resources are fully integrated and available within all business processes.
• If you schedule suppliers/contractors at the plant premises, ensure compliance with EHS requirements and the execution, inspection, and monitoring of work.

• Bachelor degree in Administration, Engineering, or Supply Chain preferred.
• 2-3 years experience in materials, planning/scheduling area in the same industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced level in Excel)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• ERP System (MFG Pro or SAP preferable)
• Experience in MRP, MPS, Min-Max tools
• Forecasting tools
• APICS CPIM Certification is a plus
