Job Description Summary
Engine Performance engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline that supports the whole life cycle of the product.
The Services Lifecycle Solutions engineer will lead the support to address requests from MRO Shops and Services/Engineering teams regarding the thermodynamic response of a commercial aircraft engine.
Activities supporting the monitoring, diagnose and troubleshoot of engine performance health to maintain Performance FTY indicator at GE MRO Shops. Optimize engine performance workscope plans to meet Shop visit cost reduction targets across engine product lines.

Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring integration of work into the larger Product Line strategy. Presents to senior leaders within direct organization.
You will engage key technical & subject matter experts (SMEs) across the business for knowledge capture into the solutions.
Assess how possible failure models will affect measured parameters and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Manages competing technical requirements regarding engine components and sub-systems.
• Apply a structured process to design and build engineering solutions.
• Gather end-user and customer requirements and support product engineering in development of current and new solutions.
• Engages, timely and effectively with the key multi-disciplinary expertise including appropriate technical disciplines (digital, services and cost) to develop business optimization strategies.
• Foster an environment that encourages innovation and creative risk taking.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or Technology with advanced experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a small, collaborative project team
• Attention to detail with a willingness to follow a rigorous quality process.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Aptitude for the use of data.
• Understanding of Aircraft Engines physics operation.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem resolution skills.
• Proven experience designing engineering solutions.
• Knowledge and experience using Analytics Software Packages like Matlab, JMPro etc. Programming experience with open source scripting and data analysis packages like Python.
• Continuous improvement oriented - actively generates process improvements; champions and drives change initiatives
Desired Characteristics
• Experience with Testing procedures of aircraft Engines
• Experience with LEAN Manufacturing principles.
