Driscoll's is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Administrator with experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and working knowledge of other cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, OCI, MuleSoft. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, ensuring high levels of availability, performance, and security (mainly in AWS but potentially in other cloud platforms).
The Cloud Administrator will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and optimize cloud-based solutions, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the overall success of our cloud environment.
Responsibilities
• Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS, including but not limited to networking, storage, computer services.
• Manage and maintain IAM access and permissions to cloud platforms.
• Monitor and optimize resource utilization to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain documentation and tagging of all cloud assets.
• Implement and enforce security best practices in cloud environments.
• Conduct regular security assessments and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services
• Collaborate with support teams to ensure timely problem resolution.
• Track all requests and incidents in Service Now.
• Escalate incidents as needed.
• Periodically perform on-call duties for after-hours support.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles for efficient resource management.
• Monitor and maintain backup and disaster recovery for cloud-based infrastructure and data.
• Work closely with development, engineering, and security teams to understand requirements and provide scalable solutions.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, IT certifications, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of overall experience as a Cloud Administrator with a focus on AWS.
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as Azure, OCI, or GCP and willingness to learn and adapt.
• Familiarity with cloud cost optimization concepts, asset management, and change management.
• General experience in IT systems, networking, storage, or security administration. • AWS Associate level certifications. • Proficiency in AWS services (VPC, EC2, Systems Manager, AWS Backup, S3, Route53, Load Balancing, CloudFront, IAM, Certificate Manager, API Gateway, Transit Gateway, and Lambda), or equivalent services in Azure, MuleSoft, OCI, GCP. • Strong understanding of systems and networking concepts in cloud environments.
• Scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Azure, OCI, GCP certifications.
• General IT infrastructure related certifications (Systems, networking, security).
