Lead Data Engineer (Foundation)

Purpose of Role: NAM data engineering for US and Canada

• Design, build and maintain North American Oracle Data Warehouse
• Develop shell scripts and PL/SQL routines for major projects in North America
• Improve data consistency by moving more downstream systems to consistent data sources.
• Act as business analyst on various projects, write technical specifications and code.
• Heavy focus on NAM 3rd party data (VIP, NABCA, TDLINX, ACD, BRI) sets as well as SAP.
• Coordinate and support less experienced Data Engineers through development cycles and ensure standard methodologies are shared
• Seek out and provide the business with the most efficient and effective solutions for finding business critical information
• Work with infrastructure teams on server sizing, patching, issue resolution, security, etc.
• Work with DBA teams on any future improvements, upgrades and issues.
• Serve as SME for projects which include North American Data (i.e., CPD, Voyager, etc.)
• Provide analysis and development expertise as required by larger products such as Voyager and CPD.
• Lead data acquisition tasks such as those related to brand acquisitions (Loyal 9, Lone River, Davos, Mr. Black, etc.).
• Lead, design, develop and maintain data integration projects with downstream systems.
• Provide off-hours support
• Monitor batch processing to ensure that SLAs as met.
• Tune processes to ensure processing efficiency.
• Serve as main contact for external vendors (e.g., VIP, NABCA, Nielsen, etc.).
• Work directly with external vendors on strategic direction and issues.
• Serve as main contact for Anaplan COE with North American Data Warehouse projects/issues.
• Serve as main contact for the business on issues and future requirements with respect to the North American Data Warehouse.

Top 3-5 Accountabilities:

• Ensure the environments stay relevant by positioning them to better support the influx of downstream systems that require data feeds.
• Provide data support for the multiple NAM systems that interact with the North American Data Warehouse (VIP, CPS, CPD, Revenue Management, DBC Simplified Planning, Supply Lynx. BPM, APO, GPS/Orion, etc.).
• Act as business analyst on various projects, write technical specifications and code.
• Work closely with NAM's distributors on data integration and BAU.
• Serve as technical lead on various projects and act as a liaison between users and data providers.
• Ensure that system and data availability remain near 100%.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 15 years' experience in the following areas:
  • Core Programming Languages:
    • Oracle PL/SQL
    • Linux shell scripting
  • Core Applications & Skills:
  • Oracle
  • SAP BODS

• Data Modeling - Kimball
• SAP
• Azure environment

• Minimum 10 years' experience in Beverage Alcohol
• Experience handling off-shore resources

Language skills:

• Proficient business English
