Role Purpose
The Logistics & Warehouse Mgr implements and monitors all logistics management activities for a región Site
Context & Core Responsibilities
- Design, propose and implement logistic and supply chain strategies, guidelines and procedures within broad principles and policies set by the organization
- Oversee the purchasing of materials and equipment for the area
- Ensure the traffic, warehousing and loogistics processes to support the manufacturing operation and optimize costs.
- Supervise all aspects of warehouse operations, such as inventory control, picking and packing procedures, and layout design, and make sure safety rules are followed
- Build trusting relationships with suppliers, establish agreements, keep an eye on their performance, and settle any problems that may come up
- Determine areas of inefficiency in the supply chain and set plans into action to boost productivity, cut expenses, and improve overall performance
- Observe all applicable laws, rules, and ISO standards applicable to supply chain management and logistics
- Keep track of performance indicators and conduct data analysis to evaluate timeliness, accuracy and efficiency
- Organize and oversee customer services, transportation, warehousing, and logistics, including managing the complete order cycle from procurement to delivery
Qualifications/Competences:
• Related University degree (e.g. Business Administration, Logistics,Supply Chain)
• Min. 5 years of progressive work experience as a supply chain manager or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
• Advanced degrees or certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Lean Manufacturing methodologies
• Proficiency in ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and other supply chain management tools
• Strong Leadership skills and multifunction staff management (direct reports and 3PL services)
• CIP and drive results orientation
