Tax Sr. Manager – (Mexico & Global Operations)
We are looking for a highly experienced and strategic Tax Sr. Manager to lead and strengthen our global tax compliance and planning efforts across corporate and franchise operations. This key leadership role will ensure efficient and compliant tax processes in Mexico and international markets, with a particular focus on payroll-related obligations and cross-border taxation linked to our global operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Tax Leadership:
Define and execute a comprehensive tax strategy for both domestic and international operations. Ensure compliance with local regulations while proactively identifying opportunities for optimization across jurisdictions.
Payroll Tax Oversight:
Lead the accurate and compliant management of payroll taxation across operational entities in Mexico. Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure proper calculation, reporting, and withholding of employee-related taxes, social security, and labor obligations.
International Tax & Transfer Pricing:
Manage the fiscal structure and compliance for global franchise operations, including royalties, cross-border payments, and transfer pricing policies. Navigate international tax treaties and BEPS guidelines to mitigate risk and ensure tax efficiency.
Risk & Compliance Management:
Oversee tax audits and manage relationships with local and international tax authorities. Ensure timely responses and effective resolutions for any fiscal inquiries, disputes, or reviews.
Global Tax Reporting & Strategy:
Prepare accurate and timely tax reports for executive leadership. Analyze fiscal performance across regions and contribute to strategic decisions with insight on tax implications and risk exposure.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Legal, Finance, Franchise, and HR teams to align tax strategies with overall business goals. Provide strategic guidance in contract structuring, new market entries, and financial operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in tax roles, with senior-level responsibility in multinational or consulting environments (Big 4 experience highly desirable).
- Strong expertise in payroll tax management, international tax planning, and compliance for multi-entity structures.
- In-depth knowledge of Mexican tax regulations and familiarity with global frameworks (OECD, BEPS, tax treaties, transfer pricing).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or related field. A master's in Fiscal Strategy, Finance, or an MBA is preferred.
- Advanced English proficiency for global collaboration and reporting.
- High proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and Excel for financial modeling and reporting.

- Ability to navigate complexity and communicate clearly with executive stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to risk management.
- Leadership skills to guide internal teams and external consultants effectively.
