Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Logistics Analyst.
What you'll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Follow up the import, export and domestics processes to get a complete record on every shipment associated with Eaton Aguascalientes, manage and control the regular and premium freight.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Coordinate the import and export processes in regard to operation such as dealing with carriers, sea freight lines, airfreight lines, freight forwarders and brokers in order to gel materials in a timely manner and ensuring accuracy and compliance to law requirements.
B. Look for the optimization on space/volume associated with each shipment in order to get cost reductions and cost avoidance in shipments.Keep up records of Premium freights and pursuit the involved areas on minimize Premium Freight to Zero.
C. Identify processes of improvement opportunities with carriers, brokers, freight forwarders and suppliers of Logistics services in order to reduce lead time and cost.
D. Comply with requirements of trade compliance, manage the virtual operations and other main requirements for the area.
E. Support Eaton Aguascalientes with import and export transactions at customs by ensuring the Import & Export documents are in compliance with Mexican and International regulations, record
keeping, customs broker instructions, IMMEX management, PROSEC management, suppliers' documents audit.
F. Identify and implement Logistics Cost Out projects
G. Provide continuous status to involved areas (MRO, Planning) on shipments.
H. Manage import and export transactions, its files and records to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and provide regular reporting of compliance metrics in accordance with internal compliance SOPs.
I. Coordinate the Transport process for both domestic and international shipments by selecting the best-in-best supplier and according to the Incoterm agreed with our customers or suppliers ensure compliance with International laws
J. Complete assigned EHS action items. Participate in safety coaching. Submit Kaizen Burst ideas to Improve Safety. Perform weekly safety checks. Lead department safety team. See attachment for

K. Demonstrate the application of the 8 CIF modules and support related initiatives on daily basis through establishing, maintaining and complying his/her Standard Work and other tools. Participate in Kaizen events, Lean Council and Continuous Improvement teams when required. Generate ideas for improvement according with the local programs. Implement and optimize Lean Management tools. Sustain the ELLS tools (VSM, 5's, TMP, STW, Set up, Problem Solving, Materials Management and 6 Sigma) to drive the continuous improvement performance when apply.
Qualifications:
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
• Degree qualification in Foreign Trade or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing environment, automotive preferred
• Strong Communication and negotiation skills
• Must be proactive and results oriented
• Working Knowledge of MRP / ERP system, Oracle as a plus
• Proficiency in Supply chain, Customs Law, Origin Law, Anexo 24 , Anexo 31, NAFTA, Local custom law, Prosec, IMMEX
• Maquila Environment experience
• Ability to communicate in the English language (90%) required.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of Mexican and International customs trade law framework
• Understanding Risk/Legal with the ability to research and comprehend issues relating to regional import regulations.
• Must be proactive and results oriente
