FINANCIAL COST ANALYST
Job Title: Financial Cost Analyst
Department: Accounting
Reports to: Plant Controller
SUMMARY:
The Financial Cost Analyst assist with reporting, budgeting, controlling and accounting activities of HARTING, Inc. and its US based affiliated sales company by performing various duties such as BOM calculations, variance analysis, record keeping of accounting transactions, and those listed below.
ESSENCIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Analyze financial information and prepare reports to summarize current and projected company financial position using MG Excel, SAP BW & BPC.
- Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
- Support supply chain with analysis related to warehousing, freight, duty, VAT, inventory, and slow inventory reserve.
- Assist with the preparation of month-end and activities as well as the year-end reporting package with the external auditors.
- Assist in preparation of the budget and financial forecast and report variances as per corporate guidelines and deadlines.
- Create / update documentation of internal processes as needed.
- Support in monitoring and preparation monthly closing activities for variance analysis, forecast, using the company´s ERP system (SAP).
- Data entry of journal entries and countries and accounts payable vouchers by matching to a purchase order and receipt.
- Cash application of lock box receipts to customer accounts.
- Filing for AP and AR.
- New Vendor/Customer Setup.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor´s degree in accounting, finance, or others related field form a fully accredited university.
- 1-3 years of related experience assisting Plant Controller or working in manufacturing environment.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with the general ledger functions and the month-end/year end closed process.
- SAP experience, including Cost Center module, Business Warehouse, Business Objectives, Planning & Consolidation is preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills in Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or govemmental regulations.
