Position Overview: Technical Operations Supervisors responsible for leading and optimizing the daily operations of the assembly area, ensuring the efficient use of resources, adherence to safety and quality standards, and achievement of production goals. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight, driving continuous improvement and fostering a high-performance culture across the value stream.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage assembly operations to meet or exceed KPIs in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Oversee cross-functional teams including manufacturing engineering, product engineering, materials, and quality.
Plan and adjust production schedules, labor allocation, and material flow to ensure timely and efficient output.
Ensure compliance with ISO standards, work instructions, and company policies.
Identify and implement productivity and efficiency improvements through lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop and execute current and future state value stream maps and improvement plans.
Coach, train, and develop team members to enhance performance and support career growth.
Analyze operational data to make informed decisions and resolve production challenges.
Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and open communication.
Collaborate with cross-functional leadership on new product launches, best practices, and enterprise-wide initiatives.
Maintain accurate records of productivity, attendance, and performance in partnership with HR.
Recognize and reward high performance while addressing conduct or performance issues appropriately.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
Proven track record of driving efficiency and productivity improvements.
Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Ability to analyze data and make timely, effective decisions.
High level of personal accountability and integrity.
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:
Proficient in interpreting written, oral, and diagrammed instructions.
Effective communicator in both individual and group settings.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); experience with ERP systems is a plus.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
