Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies within the plant by implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving programs and regulations that prevent accidents, minimize environmental impact, and promote a safe and healthy work environment.
Main Responsibilities
Develop and keep the HSE management system updated in accordance with local regulations (STPS, SEMARNAT, PROFEPA).
Coordinate training sessions, drills, and awareness campaigns on health, safety, and environmental topics.
Conduct internal safety and hygiene inspections and audits within the plant.
Manage environmental permits, environmental impact assessments, and waste management processes.
Lead investigations of accidents and incidents, as well as the development of corrective action plans.
Ensure legal and documentation compliance with authorities such as STPS, IMSS, and Civil Protection.
Maintain effective communication with all departments to promote a proactive safety culture.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Industrial, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within manufacturing or industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of applicable regulations (NOM STPS), ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
Experience in handling processes with government agencies such as STPS, SEMARNAT, Civil Protection.
Leadership, communication, teamwork, and risk analysis skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and safety management platforms.
Intermediate English desirable (not mandatory).
