MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement the core product sourcing strategy for the assigned product.
- Develop and implement fully detailed long-term agreements for the supplier/customer, including operational aspects related to quality, performance, deliveries, year-over-year cost reduction programs, among others.
- Develop new parts for any new projects within the current project. Develop robust supplier and purchasing strategies for a specific set of categories across North American plants.
- Identify the advantages of local versus global sourcing, make-to-buy scenarios, and a strong focus on non-traditional supplier development and the potential supplier evaluation process.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal customers (cross-functional team) on matters related to daily sourcing, quality, parts releases, engineering changes, product transfers, supplier sourcing, and capacity planning.
- Negotiate and achieve year-over-year cost reductions and best-in-class costs through various tools including but not limited to: VAVE initiatives, cost modeling, product cost breakdown activities, supplier visits and on-site audits, supplier cost reduction workshops, fact-based supplier negotiations, global sourcing, dual sourcing, raw material escalation/de-escalation pricing models, internal and external benchmarking activities, market intelligence and industry analysis, among others.
- Manage annual and multi-year pricing agreements, negotiate contractual requirements, specifications, implementation, total cost (including logistics costs, impact of minimum order quantity (MOQ) and lead times on inventory targets), warehousing agreements, payment terms, warranty terms, time-of-delivery (OTD), and overall quality metrics according standards, as well as manage and negotiate any commercial issues that may arise.

* Familiar with and motivated by the manufacturing area.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Effective interpersonal skills, problem-solving, familiarity with business cases and project financial analysis, project management skills desirable.
* Computer and Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reports) are essential.
* High mobility, 30% travel within the U.S. branches or suppliers.
* Commercial and technical knowledge of direct materials is a plus. Indirect knowledge is a plus.
* Ability to work in a team.
* Team leader.
* Experience traveling abroad and developing suppliers in low-cost regions is preferred.
* Drive to implement projects.

* A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, or Engineering; a master's degree (completed or in progress) is a plus.
