Defines high-impact, long-term (i.e., 2-5+ year horizon) business strategies at the corporate, business, and/or regional level. Partners with senior management to identify existing operational and new business opportunities, including market development, investment prioritization, and Mergers & Acquisitions and other growth strategies. Monitors external factors during strategic development, including market forces, macro/microeconomic factors, and competitive implications. Works with and manages cross-functional project teams. Conducts rigorous, data-driven analyses to diagnose the current state and model future outcomes for business performance. Develops recommendations for senior management based on competitive market, financial, statistical, and economic trend data. Manages corporate strategy initiatives and participates in communicating the strategy to the client organization.
Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.
How you will make your mark:
Data Analysis and Business Intelligence: Utilize advanced data analysis tools to gather, interpret, and visualize complex data. These analytical skills will fuel strategic planning and informed business decision-making.
Operational Efficiency: Lead in-depth investigations and analyses of operational performance metrics, delivering actionable insights that drive business optimization and enhance financial performance.
Business Planning: Collaborate closely with Product Managers to develop and execute annual business targets and a strategically aligned cost budget.
Performance Tracking: Monitor Deal Pipeline, Order, Booking, and Revenue performances. Collaborate with Product Managers to understand underlying drivers and formulate effective action plans.
Inventory Monitoring: Partner with the Supply Chain team to closely monitor inventory levels. Provide timely alerts to Product Managers if inventory levels deviate from the established thresholds.
Special Discount Coordination: Collaborate seamlessly with the sales team, finance team, and Product Managers to coordinate Special Discount applications for strategic opportunities.
Lab Equipment Budget Management: Work alongside the TME team on Lab Equipment Budget applications and allocations. Execute internal purchase orders.
Business Reporting: Produce comprehensive business reports that encapsulate key insights and trends, contributing to informed business decisions.
About you:
Typically 5-8 years work experience.
Often 2 years post' advanced degree experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or mergers and acquisitions.
Advanced university degree (e.g., MBA) or demonstrable equivalent.
Mastery on English
Excellent analytical thinking, analysis, and problem solving skills
Ability to summarize abstract ideas clearly and independently manage project objectives.
Extensive knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Access, statistical analysis, and financial modeling.
Developed business acumen and technical knowledge within at least two business units.
Very strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence.
Superior group facilitation and interviewing skills.
Excellent project management skills, including project structuring.
Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.
Developed leadership skills, including team-building, conflict resolution, and management.
Ability to learn and draw on new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches to project objectives.
