The CAD Technician will be responsible for owning and maintaining drawings for tooling and parts in our extrusion process. They will also aid other functions/departments by creating 3D models to support cost reduction strategies

Responsibilities

• Creation, modification, analysis, and maintenance of 2D/3D drawings using PTC Creo & SolidWorks
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand project specifications and provide design solutions
• Ensure all designs meet required safety standards and protocols
• Aid in cost reduction efforts through efficient design strategies
• Provide technical guidance related to CAD software to other departments as needed
• Communication with Tooling team, Engineering team, Maintenance team

Required Skills

• Bachelor degree in Engineering Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Operations, and Mechatronics or related with knowledge in 2D-3D drawing
• At least 5 years of experience and 2-3 years of experience working with PTC Creo / SolidWorks, Autocad, Intellicad, Pro-E within an industrial/manufacturing environment is preferred
• Reads blueprints and/or drawings
• Other technician and/or operator roles that lead to a better understanding of the equipment and processes
• Intermediate English fluency for daily communication
• Experience in leading and inspiring engineering teams (will help to lead and develop 4 to 5 jr engineers)
• Measurement devices and tools knowledge (Calipers, Gauges, Etc)
