Job Description
The Head of the CBSM will be tasked with implementing and aligning all necessary core technology processes as well as to attract, train, lead and inspire a group of technology professionals that will be core to the Chubb's digital transformation.
The Head of the CBSM will be responsible of managing the services and outcomes provided by the CBSM to the various Chubb Insurance Companies across LATAM, North America and Global as well as the CBSM financial implications of rendered services.
This includes, ensuring all back-office-related functions (HR, Marketing, Legal, Finance, etc.) and processes operate well in support of the global operation of the CBSM as well as establishing a formal collaboration network with other Chubb Business Services Centers across the world (incl. Jersey City, Philadelphia, India, etc.).
The Head of the CBSM will be responsible of ensuring an optimal organization design driving role clarity, division of labor and clear accountability of its technology functions in alignment with the Global Technology Organization.
The Head of the CBSM will pursue and establish Centers of Excellence in emerging technologies that offer potential value to Global Chubb Organization, particularly to North America and Latin America. He/she will collaborate across the organization to promote best practices, processes, and procedures throughout IT, and work closely with CIOs across Chubb in the development of teams to ensure the proper execution of solution design with a focus on digital transformation, data and analytics, IPA, IT Security and Infrastructure.
Excellent communication skills within his/her own team, across a diverse group of IT Leaders and CIOs, and with Business Leaders across diverse geographies such as North America, Latin America and India
Experience in leading the design and implementation of solutions within cloud environments, with a strong emphasis in Microsoft Azure, and familiar with Azure's API Mgmt. Gateway, ML, AI as well as with open-source frameworks and stacks such as Apache Camel, Volante, Kafka, Camunda, Drools, Spring Boot and Kubernetes
Leading development teams / pods for complex digital platforms using Agile frameworks, with a strong preference in SAFe
Managing agile Software Development Lifecycle for complex digital platforms using SecDevOps roles and tools as well as an ability to adopt and implement CI/CD lifecycle automations
Lead diverse teams / pods on the design, development and maintenance of complex digital integration platforms, microservices and APIs.
A sound understanding on how to manage back-office functions that will enable the operation of the development center such as HR, Finance / Taxes, Marketing, etc.
Experience managing IT Services based on outcomes and Service Level Agreements.
Manage and ensure compliance with Chubb's architectural principles (business, application, information and technical) in alignment with enterprise architectural principles.
Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills driving and promoting a culture of focus and collaborative execution with integrity; exhibit strong collaboration skills to ensure the goals of Information Management are met in addition to IT department goals.
Challenge conventional practices and status quo with the goal of continually improving IT's abilities to deliver practical business solutions.
Develop future leaders of IT and drive agility, strategy, innovation and collaboration.
Facilitate and provide leadership in the development of strategies to identify and design solutions to business challenges.
Promote the most effective and efficient means of delivering IT products and services through reuse and sharing across Chubb globally.
Position the Technology group to exploit the evolution of new technologies by providing high level technical consulting and lending expertise to application development teams.
Ensure compliance with corporate IT standards, guidelines and best practices with regards to information technology, application security and data privacy, data integrity, and architecture.
Demonstrate the ability to create original concepts and approaches for testing/refining existing processes as well as focusing on new solutions and processes.

Deep experience with managing software development centers that have delivered digital transforming platforms within a corporation or for outside clients.
- Demonstrated leadership style that communicates, instills confidence, and inspires and motivates others to contribute to and support the vision, diversity initiatives, and strategies of Technology.
- Superior organizational development skills and adept at attracting, inspiring and retaining an internal workforce to provide the appropriate speed-of-service and quality-of-output.
- Ability to stimulate creativity and lead change and transformational business initiatives. Included is the ability to navigate in an ambiguous, rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent communicator, highly effective in stakeholder engagement.
Education:
- A degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline
- Specialization in Software Development or related discipline
- Master in Computer Science or a related discipline is a plus
Language:
- Spanish, required
- English, required
- Portuguese, is a plus
- 10+ years in application development preferably leading a customer facing digital development factory / center.
- 5+ years of management experience leading teams in agile environment.
- 2+ years of experience leading teams developing cloud-native digital platforms, with an emphasis in Azure cloud environment.
