What does a Sales Account Manager do for Sensient?
The Sales Account Manager is a professional salesperson with the objective to maximize sales volume and gross margin, across all of our product lines by putting the customer first and focusing on presenting them with problem solving solutions. This includes achieving the territory sales plan while accomplishing goodwill and enhancing the Sensient Corporate image with all customers and prospects. Our Sales Account Managers are responsible for growing business with existing customers while prospecting new accounts. Account Managers are home or office based and are required to travel throughout their assigned territory up to 4 days per week.

What you will do:
- The Sales Trainee is an entry level position designed to develop dynamic, high potential candidates who are interested in pursuing a successful career in value-added food ingredient/ flavors sales. The Sales Trainee Program is designed to provide a well-rounded, thorough understanding of the specialty value-added applications within our organization and to systematically grow and develop talent over a 2-3 year period, in preparation to become a successful Account Manager upon completion of the program.
- The Sales Trainee will be given rotational assignments that serve various functions, and will receive increasing responsibilities with client interaction and eventually transition into a full-time sales role. The Program will provide sequential on-the-job experience, job shadowing and opportunities to practice skills and receive leadership and sales coaching.
- Majority of time spent in Sales & Technical/R&D areas, but will also consist of rotations within Customer Service, Operations, Marketing, Regulatory, Purchasing, Finance, and ongoing sales shadowing.
- The incumbent will receive ongoing progress support and evaluation to ensure requirements and objectives are met.
- Sales Trainee will receive leadership coaching to enhance necessary skills needed for success in the role of Sales Account Manager, including organizing and leading a meeting, facilitation skills, project management skills, active listening, developing presentations, public speaking, negotiation skills, and conflict resolution.
What you will bring...
- Bachelor Degree (ideally in chemistry, food science or related field)
- Fluency in English and Spanish languages
- Flexibility. Your training will take place based in Tlalnepantla. After successfully completing the program, you will transition into a Sales position, and will relocate within your assigned geographic territory in the Mexico or Latin America. Personal preference, and Business needs will all be taking into consideration for placement.
- Passion. Your drive to succeed and eagerness to learn and grow within an entrepreneurial, innovative and results-driven sales team.
